fees and policies
I am offering virtual sessions held over Zoom or the telephone at this time.

The fee for a 50-minute individual therapy session is $160. Fees are collected at the end of each session by email transfer (mbudovi@gmail.com). Outstanding fees will need to be paid prior to scheduling another session.
Services provided by a Registered Social Worker are covered by most insurance plans. Contact your provider for the details.

Twenty-four (24) hours’ notice is required for cancellation of a session. Sessions cancelled without 24 hours’ notice, that are not considered an emergency, will be charged the full session fee.

Everything that is said in the context of the conversations between therapist and client is kept private and confidential except for the following circumstances:

-
When a client indicates they are at risk to hurt themselves or others, such as when there is a danger of suicide or assault. In these situations, a therapist may need to take additional steps to ensure safety.
-
When a therapist has reason to believe that a child under the age of 18 is in need of protections from physical abuse, sexual abuse, serious emotional abuse or neglect. This includes situations where physical abuse or high levels of conflict are occurring between adult family members and there is a child in the home. It also includes situations when a client reports that a child is not being adequately supervised and is at risk of harm. In these situations, the Children’s Aid Society needs to be contacted.
-
When a therapist is mandated by a court order to disclose information, as can happen if there are legal proceedings. Client files can be subpoenaed, and therapists can be ordered to testify in court proceedings.
-
When a client reports a reasonable suspicion that a resident of a long-term care facility regulated by the Long-Term Care Facilities Act of Ontario is being physically abused by anyone, and/or has suffered or may suffer harm as a result of unlawful conduct, neglect, or improper or incompetent care by staff in the home. In these situations, it may be necessary to report it to the provincial Director of Nursing Homes.
-
When a client discloses that they have been sexually abused by another helpful professional who is a member of a profession regulated by the Regulated Health Professions Act of Ontario or the Social Work & Social Service Workers Act of Ontario, it may be necessary to report the name of the professional to the relevant college.
